Motel 2000

Motel 2000 is an excellent choice for those traveling through Italy. It's conveniently located right off the highway, and the check-in process couldn't be simpler. You can check in quickly and directly from your car, and once done, you can park your car right in front of your room, free of charge. Despite its proximity to the highway, the rooms are surprisingly quiet, and the temperature can be easily regulated thanks to the air conditioning. The only downside is that the room might appear slightly dated and on the darker side, but for a one-night stopover, it's more than sufficient. What pleasantly surprised us was the size of the breakfast and the friendly, accommodating staff. Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay.

We have lived in this motel for 6 days and can write a real review about all the pros and cons of this place. Location: The motel is located at the main interchange, which conveniently connects from north to south and from west to east, but the same interchange also interferes with arrival and departure from the motel, as there are constant traffic jams and there is no pedestrian sidewalk. To the central part of Milan by car, really 50 minutes. The first metro station and a parking lot where you can park your car for the whole day are 15 minutes away. Move-in and move-out from the motel is not very convenient since there is a main transport interchange nearby and you have to stand in traffic to turn off to the hotel and stand at the traffic light to exit the territory that leads to the motel. Nearby, by car for 5 minutes there is Ikea and Essalunga, unfortunately it is not possible to walk to them all because of the same transport interchange, since there is no pedestrian sidewalk. If you are staying for one night, then this is a great place to stay here. The biggest advantages are: - Cleanliness in the room and on the territory - Friendly staff - Safety - Delicious breakfast and coffee! - The car can be parked right at the exit from the room under the roof The biggest disadvantage is: - “air conditioning" under the window and humidity in the room! We stayed at this motel in September and it rained for a couple of days. Unfortunately, the room was so humid that all the bed linen was wet and it was not possible to sleep. We slept in our clothes because the “air conditioner” was almost not working. The “air conditioner” was probably installed 20-30 years ago and it just couldn't work anymore because it was tired of this life and wanted to retire. - if you need to go to the center of Milan every day, then this motel is not right for you! Don't even think about it! - it is very difficult to leave the motel and go somewhere by walk We are grateful to all the employees of the hotel for their good attitude and ask the owner of the hotel to change the air conditioner in the room because in any weather this air conditioner cannot work, it is tired forever!

Awful! There is a corridor between the rooms that runs the length of the hotel that the maids work in until 2am. If you want to hear carts rolling on a tile floor, plastic bags rustling, maids talking (in what sounds like they’re in your bathroom), and various other clanks, booms, and bangs then this is the place for you. The walls are so thin that it almost feels obtrusive. It feels like someone is in the room with you. You can literally hear somebody on the other side of a back door to your room all night long. I complained to the front desk that they were making noise all night long and was told, “Not all night long. Just until 2am.” That IS all night long, dlpshlt! Everything after that is morning! The location sucks too. Good luck getting to the city centre from here unless you like buses. I had to drive 20 minutes to a metro stop that had parking then ride a half-dozen stops to get to the Duomo.

The hotel is OK, the beds are comfortable, usually there are free rooms for longer time, extending our stay is not a problem. The breakfast is only some pastry with marmalade, or some rolls with butter. The coffee is good, fresh made for request. Wifi connection is secured and free, however usually there is no stable connection to internet. I also recommend to ask the receptionist for a room on the opposite side of the highway during check-in.
